If you’re like me, you’d rather listen to a debate than watch it: plug in your ear buds and go for a run (or wash the dishes) while you take in the intellectual exchange. In other words, multi-tasking that actually works. For all those listeners out there who are happy with audio alone, here’s the mp3 of the March 7th Rauser/Schieber debate on God’s existence.
Please note that I added a theme song, to this version: Survivor’s “Moment of Truth” from 1984’s The Karate Kid. The reason is fourfold: first, I reference The Karate Kid in the debate, so the song seemed appropriate; second, it’s awesome eighties cheezy (the keyboards that kick in just after the intro organ sound like a corporate training video!); third, the title provides an homage to the search for truth in vigorous exchange; and fourth, I like listening to so-called “Dad rock” (aka the music dads listen to) and I’m not afraid to admit it. (Apparently Survivor, and most other things I grew up listening to, are now considered “Dad rock”.)
And now without further ado, the debate…
