Yesterday I debated Justin Schieber on the existence of God at the University of Alberta. As you can see, I’m the smudge on the left that is standing and talking while Justin is the smudge on the right that is sitting.
We had approximately 125 people in attendance which is quite good considering it was the first spring-like Saturday afternoon we’ve had this year. Debating with Justin was a blast. He presents with no acrimony or condescension and is succinct and concise in making his points. He’s also keen to try out a range of different arguments which keeps things interesting.
Note the camera man in the bottom left corner of the picture. The good news is that we should have a well produced video of the event available shortly.
My thanks to the University of Alberta Atheists and Agnostics for hosting the event (and committing to producing the video).
Tonight is “round 2” at Taylor Seminary, although in this case the format will be decidedly more relaxed. No stopwatches or precise time limits. Just two guys with sharply opposed views on the nature of reality in conversation.
