Cosmos meets Logos: If Carl Sagan had been a conservative Christian

June 30, 2014 by Randal

I don’t know if you ever stopped to ask yourself, “What would the original ‘Cosmos’ have been like if Carl Sagan had been a conservative Christian?” Well now you know. Check out this very clever satire by Reasonable Doubts Podcast with Sagan’s doppelganger being voiced by Jeremy Beahan who, based on this performance, could have a second career as an impressionist and voice actor.

The best line comes at the very end:

“And then, trusting in Logos, unbound from the shackles of reason and evidence, there would be no limits to what we could justify.”

(See a sample from the real Sagan below for comparison.)
