“Ignore your teeth and they’ll go away.”
So says a poster on the wall of my dentist’s office.
Unfortuantely ungraded papers are not like teeth. Ignore a pile of unmarked research papers and they remain on the desk, unmarked.
It turns out that the same truth applies to unmarked exams.
So I have decided to batten down the hatches and get to work over the next two or three days by getting all my grading done. I have found that responding to blog comments and submitting to the temptation to write new posts (like this one!) is simply slowing down the process too much.
I promise to address all the comments that are awaiting a reply once my grades are submitted.
