People are talking a lot about electric cars these days. But whether it be the Tesla roadster, the Chevy Volt or the Nissan Leaf, most of these cars are the center of attention for one reason: they are electric. That’s like people listening to the latest Paul McCartney album not because it is intrinsically great but simply because it is Paul McCartney. Electric cars need to get to the place where they are intrinsically desirable.
Enter the Fisker Karma. This car is just coming available in North America this year and is generating a boatload of attention because it seems to be the first electric car that is desirable not only because it is electric, but because it is intrinsically desirable with lean-mean looks, great performance, and lots of personality.
This brings me to the simple punchline of this post: is it just me or does the front look like a mischievous buck-toothed Cheshire cat?
