On Wednesday November 17th I’ll be flying to Atlanta, Georgia for the annual meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society. I’ll also be sticking around for the beginning of the Society of Biblical Literature annual meeting so that I can deliver a paper at a forum titled “Is Yahweh a Moral Monster?” on Saturday night. I am going to be on a panel there with smart people including Paul Copan (Palm Beach Atlantic University), Matthew Flannagan (Bethlehem Tertiary Institute, New Zealand), and Richard Hess (Denver Seminary). I may not be as smart as these chaps, but I bet I am the only one who can sing all of Def Leppard “Rock of Ages” (should we all happen to go out to karaoke afterward).
Anyway, I will keep everybody posted while I am away, at least insofar as the local Starbucks wi-fi allows. (Ironic observation of the day: how can it be that ritzy hotels like the Hilton pride themselves on customer service and yet they charge between 10-20 bucks a day for wireless access when its FREE at the Super 8? Just a thought.)
