The 26 minutes Toronto stood still
Last Saturday afternoon life ground to a halt all over southern Ontario for 26 minutes. Traffic on the 401 was at an eerie standstill. Major airports were shut down. And everywhere you look people were listening to something. But what? Come join me in my time machine and let’s find out. * There we are. We’re on Yonge Street. Everybody is standing, listening with a ferocious intensity, almost trance-like. Some are in their cars. Others have headphones. Ahh, here is a group of youth huddled around a crackling vintage transistor radio. What is it they are listening to? Come, let’s listen in too.

At first I was like “Strange, I never heard about this. Normally if anything wrong happens in Toronto all the news networks drop everything local and go to Toronto….” I still had no clue once I finished reading the paragraph. Then I saw “The Drew Marshall Show” and I laughed for a good mintue.

I have a whole new respect for Randal now that I know he has followed in the footsteps of former Drew Marshall guests Kathy Ireland, John Tesh and Rick Warren.
On a serious note, thanks for the link. I was surprised that those shows are not available on iTunes. However, I managed to download the episode from Drew’s site and transfer it to my iPod.

I’d prefer to point out that I was interviewed by the same guy who interviewed Alice Cooper. “School’s out for summer. School’s out forever…”

Great interview.
I like the “this is me in grade 9″ reference.
I thave tweeted this but people will be much more likely to do that if you add share icons to your posts. It is very easy to set up and they will auotmatically appear on all your posts. Just a suggestion.

Thanks. I’m going to follow up with your advice too. I’ve been thinking about doing that for awhile.
